New Old Stock - What does it mean?

The expression New Old Stock (NOS or Old Stock) is the designation used to describe (more or less) old items that are complete in the box and in new condition, never used. And that are no longer available for sale in the regular retail stores.

They can come from old stocks from stores, factories or even from individuals who bought old stock and didn't get to use the items, keeping them preserved.

This expression in the gaming world is usually associated with Retro games, Retro consoles and Retro accessories and, as expected, they are Rare items, difficult to find and can be valuable (and very desirable for Collectors, Museums, etc.).
