LG Expands Gaming Portal to More Screens with webOS in 2025

LG Electronics (LG) has announced the expansion of its Gaming Portal, an integrated platform that offers simplified access to a wide range of games, from AAA titles to casual, family, and social games. Currently available on LG Smart TVs with webOS 23 and higher in 19 markets, the company plans to extend the service to more countries, devices, and platforms in 2025, including LG Smart Monitors and StanbyME lifestyle screens, by the second quarter of the year.

With this expansion, LG aims to enhance the game streaming experience by providing smoother access to popular titles and recent releases. The Gaming Portal acts as a central hub for gamers, allowing intuitive discovery of new games and immediate access to favorites, all without the need for consoles or additional hardware.

Through strategic partnerships with cloud gaming services such as NVIDIA GeForce NOW, Amazon Luna, Boosteroid, Blacknut, and soon, Xbox Cloud, in addition to native webOS games, LG offers a vast catalog of games for all tastes.

The interface of the Gaming Portal is designed to be intuitive and easy to navigate directly from the webOS home screen. Users can quickly access a personalized selection of games, including cloud gaming apps, webOS games compatible with the remote control, recently played titles, the top 10 most popular games, and editorial recommendations.

For added convenience, gamers can choose between the "Play with Remote" or "Play with Gamepad" options, allowing immediate access without the need for manual searches.

Personalization and Optimized Experience

My Page functions as a control center where players can track achievements, earn badges, and view a summary of their progress, including points, levels, and category upgrades. Additionally, the My Games feature allows users to create a personalized game list, ensuring that they don't miss out on highly anticipated titles.

For those who prefer PC or console games, LG TVs support 4K at 120Hz with Variable Refresh Rate (VRR), providing smooth and uninterrupted gameplay. They also feature NVIDIA G-SYNC® Compatible and AMD FreeSync Premium certifications, ensuring a superior visual experience.

The latest LG OLED evo TV models raise the industry standard even higher, offering the first 4K variable refresh rate at 165Hz and being the first to receive VESA's ClearMR 10000 certification for flawless performance in fast-action scenes.
