World Trophy Soccer for Mega Drive  is a re-imagining of Manchester United Europe , using the same side view and wider viewing angle as Krisalis' other soccer game of the time, John Barnes' European Football. All teams participating in any of the three major European tournaments at the time of the game's release are included, albeit with fictitious player names and some inaccurate kits. Scenes show the course of the game while a referee is active on the screen. The game can be played in arcade or simulation mode with 6 different formations.
