This  rarity  is part of a series that Nintendo produced for Toys 'R' Us. Next to the GameBoy Color - Midnight Blue Editionthere were two other color lines, namely Clear Ice Blue and Clear-Green. This GameBoy Color  was released exclusively in Japan. The  GameBoy Color - Midnight Blue Edition is characterized by the fact that the transparent housing has an unmistakable transparent blue that no other GameBoy Color has to offer.
