Arata Mizunashi, a video game programmer, receives a mysterious email from his colleague Shina Ninomiya, who has been missing for more than a year. Together they have created the virtual world of MMORPG World's Odyssey powered by stunning and cutting-edge technology. Arata makes the incredible discovery that Shina was trapped in World's Odyssey the whole time. Diving back into the code of his abandoned project, he finds that his game is riddled with bugs and that Shina is the only active player.
